Talking about boundaries often reduces a complex relational practice to a list of rules. A more useful approach begins with attention: what changes in us, what becomes difficult to name, and which responsibilities belong to each person.
Different needs.
One coherent place.
Raíces Universales brings psychotherapy, education, programs and community initiatives into a single platform. The design challenge was to create an identity capable of holding those different experiences together without making them feel institutional, fragmented or interchangeable.
I developed the visual identity and website as a shared system: one language connecting services, knowledge and participation. This case study also explores how that original foundation could expand today into a broader digital content and service ecosystem.

Raíces Universales was not a single-service practice. Its communication needed to accommodate individual support, learning, group experiences, educational content and community participation. Each area carries a different rhythm and level of commitment.

Roots as structure, not decoration.
A root system connects, supports and allows different forms of growth to emerge from the same foundation. The identity uses that idea structurally through connection, continuity, branching, rhythm and shared origin.

Deep green establishes continuity and stability. A lighter botanical tone introduces openness and differentiation. Warm paper neutrals prevent the identity from feeling clinical.

The website translates the brand into navigation, hierarchy and action. Color distinguishes content, typography establishes depth and recurring patterns make different programs recognizable as part of the same organization.
Start with the reason people came.
The homepage can work as a map of needs rather than a promotional poster. The original work establishes the foundation; this contemporary structure makes those entrances more explicit.

Therapy pages should answer practical questions without turning care into a sales funnel: what the service is, who provides it, how it works, available formats and how to make contact.

Articles, guides, workshops and teaching materials use a more editorial layer of the identity: stronger reading hierarchy, generous margins and clear separation between explanation and action.

From social posts to a reusable knowledge library.
A structured resource library gives educational material a longer life. Resources can be organized by theme, format and audience while remaining connected to relevant services and programs.

RAÍCES / NOTESSocial content as part of the identity, not a parallel brand.
The original social material demonstrates a working content system. A contemporary extension can tighten the hierarchy without erasing that professional archive.
Participation needs visibility.
Giving initiatives their own structure allows visitors to understand how to participate rather than simply reading that a community exists.
Listening circles.
Small group conversations around care, relationships and collective experience.
The first interaction should reduce uncertainty.
A structured contact experience can route different needs without forcing everyone through the same generic form or requesting unnecessary sensitive information.
Choose the closest option.
The system needs to remain calm on a small screen.
Long-form reading, service information, program registration and contact each require different responsive behavior.

UNIVERSALES
Notes for difficult conversations
The system as originally delivered.
The visual identity and website shown here were developed as professional work for Raíces Universales. This archive preserves the original project context before the contemporary extensions presented elsewhere.

What the system can become.
The conceptual extensions explore how the same brand can support a growing ecosystem of services, programs, knowledge and participation without rewriting the history of the original commission.
CARE
KNOWLEDGE
PARTICIPATION
A sensitive brand still needs strong architecture.
Warmth and structure are not competing goals. The identity creates emotional continuity. Information architecture creates orientation. Editorial hierarchy creates understanding. Together, they allow one organization to speak about care, education and community without flattening them into the same experience.
